These round Ponderosa “Blue Pine” tabletops are truly one of a kind—and a beautiful addition to your home. Made from Ponderosa Pine, a tree native to the western United States and Canada, this wood is often called “Blue Pine” because of the distinctive blue streaks that develop after the tree dies.
Each top is milled on site using a band-style sawmill, then kiln-dried. Once the drying process is complete, the boards are glued up, run through a planer, and carefully sanded. Depending on the finish you choose, the surface is then stained and lacquered to protect the wood and create a silky-smooth feel.
Because this is natural blue pine, every piece will feature its own unique character—knots, swirls, and varied grain and color tones. No two are the same, but we can match pieces fairly closely when you’re creating a table set.
